Transit Table

from $3,044.00

The Transit Table is our take on a modern-industrial statement piece for your dining room. This handcrafted wooden dining table relies on the unique character of old semi-truck floorboards that have been used for over 40 years, contrasting nicely with our blackened steel frame.

We must emphasize that the use of reclaimed wood ensures a completely custom and one-of-a-kind table that cannot be exactly replicated.

Handcrafted in Boulder, Colorado.

Customizable at any dimension, with or without the steel frame.

Each Transit Table comes with a durable clear resin pour and polyurethane finish.

Featured at 84” L x 40” D x 30” H.

  • The Transit Collection is designed using reclaimed eighteen-wheeler truck flooring. Each piece of wood is sanded down to expose a one of a kind texture and pattern within the oak boards. This collection tells a story with each piece of wood, bringing a new level of character and contrast to any space.

  • We provide two options regarding the finish of your wood products, Natural Oil and Matte Polyurethane. Both finishes will maintain the natural look and feel of your product, but support slightly different properties long term.

    Natural Oil

We use low VOC natural oil finishes. Applied in coats by hand, an oil finish works to fortify and seal off wood fibers, giving you a more traditional and natural look and feel. Natural oil gives you the ability to do light touch-ups and refinishing over time.

    Matte Polyurethane

We use formaldehyde free polyurethane finishes. The polyurethane is sprayed on in layers, intended to provide a stronger protection against scuffs and scratches over time. A polyurethane finish works as a solid barrier between you and the wood, best for high wear situations, families and individuals who need that extra level of protection.

  • Where do you source your wood?

We have a number of different suppliers for our materials. We strictly work with North American Hardwood, nearly 90% of our live-edge slabs are reclaimed or sustainably sourced within our community. We do not work with imported, tropical or endangered trees. We must emphasize that the use of live-edge wood ensures a completely custom product that cannot be exactly replicated. Each product is one of a kind.

    Who creates the designs?

Dancing Grains Woodworks came to life in 2008 with founder and owner Austin Aaron, channeling ideas and creative energy towards a larger vision of providing people with unique and timeless custom wood products, built with intention and care. Today, his dreams have been realized. We are a specialty woodworking company producing his original designs in furniture, cabinetry, doors, and other architectural and interior design elements.

    Who builds our products?

We have a number of local craftsmen working at our shop in Boulder, Colorado. We must emphasize that our products are carefully crafted by human beings rather than mass produced and manufactured by factory machines. You should expect handmade quality, craftsmanship and detailing.
