The design of the Slot Canyon Table combines a modern plate steel table base with the natural curves of a live edge walnut top. This style is, by far, our best selling table and because of the nature of the wood itself, each table is as unique as it's homeowner.
The wood is urban salvaged black walnut, which comes from trees removed by arborists on private and public urban property and which is then milled for woodwork rather than cut up into firewood or left for waste. It is a very sustainable source for material and often produces much more interesting lumber than the standard sources.
This base can be paired with any slab top! Choose your own slabs from the Board Room to compliment your decor and we'll mount them on this base.
To finish off this piece, we use an oil and polyurethane mixture that gives the table a light luster while still allowing the wood grain to shine through. It is not a plasticky finish, but because of the polyurethane and the deep penetration of the 4 coats, it is very durable.
Please note that due to the organic and individual nature of each slab, dimensions, color and grain pattern will differ. Yours will truly be unique!
